The objective of this project was to provide a community service to medical doctors in assisting cytogenetic evaluations. Here, chromosome painting would be used to find resolution to cytogenetics questions raised by cytogenetics laboratories as to the chromosomal origin of small pieces of chromosomal material found in the metaphase.

Methodology: Metaphase slides prepared from a few (less than 5) blood samples taken at other institutions were to be sent to LLNL for chromosome painting.

Principal Investigator claims no activity in FY 1995. IRB protocol approval was abandoned and the project was never used. Project was officially closed upon its expiration date of 5/19/95.
